Johannesburg, South Africa

 Last month Matthew traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa for a conference on  Community gender HIV education.  This is a picture from the conference.  We are fortunate that Matthew doesn't travel often, but when he does, he gets to go to really cool places!

He always brings us back great presents.  Matthew was only gone 10 days, which wasn't too bad.  We had a major hurricane on the East coast (Sandy) while he was gone, but we weren't as affected by it as some other states, so we were very grateful and blessed for that.  

Ethan has a particularly hard time in Matthew's absence.  The last day before he was scheduled to arrive home, Ethan sobbed for 30 minutes because he missed him so much.  That really isn't typical of Ethan, and he has been very attached to him since.  

Matthew said that Johannesburg is a very big city with tall buildings and normal things you would find in city life.  I tried to get him to take more pictures, but he was very busy working day and night to make sure the conference ran smoothly.  He did a great job with it!
