This obsession with cycling started in Annecy, France, where we rode our bikes to school everyday. We did study abroad through Utah State University, at a school called Ifalpes. We lived with a family in a city called St. Joriez, which was 10 kilometers outside of Annecy. We purchased our bikes for between 15 and 25 euros, and then sold them back to the incoming students for the same price. Matthew had a road bike while we were there, and swore to never go back to mountain bikes again.
This is a picture of Annecy. Notice the bike helmets? It was a fun way to get around.
So when we got back to the states, we both got new bikes and have loved cycling ever since. This is the trail that Matthew takes to work. So pretty and green.
