The trip so far
Matthew and I both arrived at our destinations safely. Matthew's flight was 18 or 20 hours long, and he watched 10 movies! I guess he didn't sleep much. He had a layover in Amsterdam and flew in to the Kilmanjaro airport. His course/training is going well. The first day was yesterday. He says his hotel room is really nice, and it is cool weather in Tanzania. We can't use our cellphones to communicate, and so we have been using Skype. I'm so glad technology has come so far. Matthew is working hard for our family and is still taking two classes online to keep up with his Masters program. He is really busy, but doing well. We miss him so much, but are glad that he is able to educate others on the logistical side of storing and administering ARV cocktails (a mixture of drugs to treat the HIV virus), contraceptives, and further preventing the AIDS epidemic. This whole trip Ethan has been trilling his tongue ALL the time. It is really funny, and has even replaced crying. If you listen in the movie, you can hear him doing it. Also, he has been having so much fun with his cousins. He loves them a lot, and likes to play with them.

That's so cute Ethan trills his tongue like that!!! He is so adorable. That video with him and his cousins makes me wish Vanessa could play with her cousins all the time. They are the best!
How cute! You guys will have such a fun trip and it sounds like Matthew will have an amazing adventure.
