I just realized that we don't have ANY pictures of Roosevelt Island! We go there so often, so I snapped a few pictures the last time we were there.
This is just off a little trail in Arlington and right before you cross the Key Bridge. Last time we were there, we saw 3 toads, some ducks that came within INCHES of us, a deer, and a HUUUUGE bullfrog! Seriously, the frog was bigger than my open hand. We are still in the process of catching them.

Not many tourists know about Roosevelt Island, because it is far away from all the other monuments, and sort of hard to get to. This memorial is dedicated to Theodore Roosevelt, who was a great naturalist. There is a huge, kind of scary statue of him shown below, along with some great-also huge-quote walls.
